Coach Ryan started out in the world of CrossFit in 2012. After becoming more familiar with the sport through training and competition he acquired his Level 1 coaching certification in 2013 and took his first steps on his coaching journey. Ryan continued coaching, training, and competing in CrossFit until he was bitten by the weightlifting bug in early 2015 and participated in his first Olympic style weightlifting competition mid-way through the year and then later that same year earned his Sports Performance Coaching certification from USAW. Around this time, he also began dedicating his training time to weightlifting.


After continuing to train and compete under former Olympian, Coach Osman Manzanares, Ryan began assisting with seminars and coaching athletes. He later earned his Advanced Sports Performance Coach certification in January of 2018.

Ryan has competed in local level competitions and has also competed on a national level.

Ryan’s goal as a coach is to develop excellent athletes by promoting precise, efficient and safe movement through proper technique and training practices.
